About This Role:
Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Scientific Affairs Associate II. You will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation.
The Scientific Affairs Associate II plays a key role in ensuring continuous patient safety through the development and application of a proactive approach to the identification of potential product deficiencies. Applies technical/scientific expertise to solve scientific questions and provide support to internal and external clients.
What You Will Do:
- Conducts information and/or literature review to address internal and external scientific information queries.
- Communicates and collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to facilitate technically sound execution of deliverables.
- Evaluates benefit and risk of medical devices in relation to specific scientific questions.
- Keeps abreast of scientific literature and recent developments in the relevant therapeutic and/or scientific area as well as relevant standards and guidance documents.
- Works with clients to gather and prioritize business needs, assumptions, and requirements.
- Oversees, designs, implements, and analyzes procedures and results for scientific evaluations
- Summarizes data from test reports.
- Supports continuous improvements efforts related to scientific affairs processes.
Required skills:
- Master’s degree in a scientific, medical, or related discipline and 1-3 years of relevant work experience, or Doctorate degree and 0-1 year of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of overall medical device industry
- Intermediate knowledge of medical device functionality and therapeutical areas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of medical device/IVD product life cycle
- Good knowledge of applicable regulations for medical devices/IVD products
