About Neural Concept
Neural Concept is a rapidly growing company at the forefront of revolutionizing product design and simulation through advanced data science and machine learning. Specializing in optimizing engineering processes for industries such as automotive, aerospace, and energy, Neural Concept combines AI, machine learning, and generative design to help engineers develop products faster, more efficiently, and with improved performance.
What You Will Do
As a Product Designer at Neural Concept, you will own the end‑to‑end user experience of our flagship engineering‑AI platform—spanning perfectly flowing UIs, domain‑specific workflows, and developer‑facing APIs that power high-fidelity physics AI predictions and the next generation of data-driven hardware product development workflows.
You will:
Run design sprints & user research with customers in automotive, aerospace, and energy to extract deep insights and translate them into elegant interaction patterns.
Define & share UX workflows that let AI engineers, designers and CAD/CAE experts, define and use the data-driven product development interfaces of the future.
Design for technical users: work at the level of visual interfaces, but also Python, YAML, REST APIs. Our product is defined by its full experience across the different stack levels, and the associated tech docs are an integral part of it.
Prototype fast—quickly iterate using HTML/CSS/JS, React, or Python, with the help of AI to validate interactions and performance with real insights, with real engineering data.
Collaborate as a peer with engineers—use technical input and ideas as inspiration, iterate as a team and ensure design intent survives the build pipeline.
Evolve our design system into a robust, reusable toolkit that balances scientific rigor with aesthetics, accessibility, and enterprise‑grade extensibility.
Champion fast, high‑quality shipping: break large ideas into incremental wins, work with PMs and engineers to instrument usage analytics, and iterate relentlessly based on real‑world feedback.
Mentor & raise the bar—shape design culture, introduce best practices, and foster a bias‑to‑action, research‑driven mindset across the company.
Who You Are
You're passionate about making complex things feel simple. You enjoy working in highly technical environments and care about crafting intuitive, thoughtful experiences—even when the problems are sophisticated or deeply specialized.
You also bring:
5+ years of product design experience with technical or enterprise software. You’ve helped build tools that solve complex problems for expert users, and you enjoyed working in dynamic, fast-evolving environments.
A portfolio of projects demonstrating strong product taste in a technical context. You care deeply about details (i.e. error messages, APIs, and docs), you know how to create a great “first 5‑minute” experience, while unleashing productivity for the most advanced power user.
Fluency in prototyping & code literacy—You’re fluent with Figma or similar tools for UI and interaction design. You're also comfortable reading code (e.g. Python, TypeScript, React) and using AI-powered tools to prototype quickly.
Curiosity and collaboration—you work as a true partner to engineers, bringing clarity to complex systems through thoughtful research and design.
Familiarity with CAD, simulation, or hardware is a plus—not a must.
