Job Overview
The Project Manager is in charge for the successful project execution in time, cost and quality of technical projects (e.g. product development, manufacturing capacity development) within SHL Medical. They will hold end-to-end responsibility for an assigned project from project intake/project planning to end of validation/handover to production. They will manage teams from cross-functional disciplines to ensure that project requirements, deadlines, schedules and budget are managed within the set project goals, consistently with SHL QMS, with Global Project & Program Management processes, and with the product management strategy. Overall responsibilities are planning, budget management, project resources management as well as risk management and project team leadership. He will collaborate with the commercial team in managing customer relationship and communication.
Main Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives and major milestones in alignment with sponsor and internal program and product managers
- Manage tasks and resources of assigned projects, planning resources needs to reach objectives
- Define and manage project phases and work packages, coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless project execution in time, cost and quality
- Track and manage the project schedule and ensure the availability of deliverables on time. Track and manage the project budget according to the approved project order
- Create a meeting structure, communication process and regular reporting on budget, milestones, risks; establish an active communication channel to team members, stakeholders and customers
- Provide monthly reports to PMO and other stakeholders about milestones, budget status, deliverables, risks, required adjustments, and overall progress
- Manage communication with the customer, in coordination with Account Management/Business Development, and matrix reporting to the Program Manager in projects that are part of a wider program
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in project management of manufacturing equipment/automated lines development, with preference in the medical devices, automotive, aerospace sectors
- Knowledge of project management processes, methodologies and tools & techniques
- Experience with digital Project Management tools like MS Project, PLM
- Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are considered an advantage
- Engineering degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in scheduling, management of project budgets and of project resources
- Ability to create comprehensive reports on timeline, budget and quality status
- Time and risk management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to encourage and enable people to work together as a team to reach common goals
- Ability to influence decisions that need to be made to make the project successful
- PMP Certification preferred
- Injection moulded product development
