The Position
The opportunity
The Project Manager role will be part of the PT Business Capability Center of Excellence (CoE). This is a team of Business Capability Specialists, Leads & Owners who are responsible and accountable for the process, systems, data and communities that support the PT P2DP (plan to deliver business product processes) which represent our supply chain and manufacturing business processes and the PT Marketing Plan to Cash (MP2C) processes. MP2C includes processes associated with contract management, order management, & delivery in the affiliates. The CoE focuses on driving innovation, continuous improvement, and transformation of P2DP & MP2C business processes and strategies with their site and global business partners. They also play a key role in shaping the future business processes being developed for ASPIRE (SAP S/4 & OMP implementation project) and those enabling PTS Supply Chain processes.
The Project Manager assists in the planning and delivery of project(s) having an internal focus from initiation through delivery. They participate in cross functional activities, supporting the completion of the project while adhering to budget, scope and schedule requirements. They facilitate and support the PTS organization and the BCO COE with key activities in Project Management and team effectiveness. This individual will work closely with the Business Capability Owners (BCOs), PTS leaders, and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of strategic and operational project deliverables. This role drives continuous improvement, operational excellence, innovation, cost containment, and high-quality processes across supply chain processes. The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of the assigned projects in the PTS Portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
Project Planning and Definition: Develop and maintain project plans, define objectives, requirements, assumptions, and establish roles, responsibilities, and authority levels.
Risk and Issue Management: Record, manage, propose corrective actions, and lead risk management within project teams, including mitigation and contingency planning.
Project Deliverables and Performance Monitoring: Ensure project deliverables are completed, track success metrics, monitor overall project performance, and provide regular status updates.
Budget and Cost Management: Estimate, track, report on project costs, manage budget evolution, and obtain necessary approvals.
Stakeholder Management and Communication: Manage project stakeholders, liaise with customers, provide updates, and manage variances from the plan.
Project Execution and Team Leadership: Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate project resources, lead effective meetings and workshops, and implement lean project and portfolio management practices.
Who you are:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Project Management (preferred), with 5-7 years of business/operations experience or equivalent, including at least 3 years of project management experience, preferably in the pharma/biopharma/medical device industry.
Project Management Certification: A relevant Project Management certification is required (e.g., PMP, Scrum, SAFe).
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Trello) and other tools like Google applications, JIRA, Service Now, and online collaboration tools.
Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trusted relationships in a matrix organization.
Supply Chain Understanding: Sound understanding of Supply Chain setup and design.
