Are you eager to drive digital transformation and help shape future-ready business processes along our Value-Chain? As a Working Student in our Digital Process Excellence initiative, you will support and potentially lead specific use-case-driven projects that aim to streamline operations and enable data-driven decision-making. The initiative works hands-on with departments across the organization to identify, analyze, and digitize critical business processes. You’ll play an active role in translating real-world process challenges into digital solutions—gaining valuable experience in process management, automation, and continuous improvement along the way.
This part-time position is based at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, within the Supply & Value Chain Excellence business unit. The ideal start date would be September 2025 or as agreed for a minimum of 12 months.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate on concrete value chain (from supplier to delivery) digitalization use cases by supporting process mapping, analysis, and optimization activities
- Take ownership of selected projects or subprojects—working independently and in coordination with process owners and IT
- Drive the development and implementation of digital workflows and process automation in existing or new applications in the office and on the shopfloor
- Create engaging documentation, training materials, and visualizations to support project outcomes and user enablement
- Assist in documenting current- and future-state processes using BPM tools (e.g., Signavio, or Microsoft Visio)
- Research new tools, methods, and best practices in digital process excellence and bring innovative ideas to the team
Your background:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field—with a focus on digitalization, process optimization, or manufacturing
- Basic understanding of data visualization and digital workflow tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Platform, …)
- Ideally experience in one or more programming languages and in the development of applications
- Ideally first experience with process mapping tools, automation platforms, or low-code/no-code environments
- Strong interest in digital transformation, process design, and project-based work
- Analytical and structured working style with a hands-on mindset
- Proactive communication skills and confidence to interact with diverse stakeholders
- Good communication skills in English and/or German
