About the role
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for provisioning servers, deploying Kubernetes clusters, and integrating them into our Kubernetes platform. You'll oversee capacity management, proactively scaling resources up or down based on demand to ensure optimal cluster performance and efficiency. We're looking for a DevOps expert eager to build and maintain a robust, secure, and highly available Kubernetes infrastructure.
Job description
- Lead and mentor a DevOps team responsible for provisioning servers, deploying Kubernetes clusters, and managing their lifecycle within our Kubernetes platform
- Oversee and optimize capacity planning, ensuring timely resource allocation and efficient scaling of Kubernetes clusters based on real-time demands
- Develop and maintain automation processes (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code) to streamline Kubernetes deployments and server management tasks
- Monitor cluster health, availability, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues or bottlenecks
- Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth integration, stability, and security of Kubernetes environments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing system reliability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Participate in strategic planning, providing expert insights into infrastructure enhancements and technical roadmap decisions
Qualifications
You have:
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes deployment, configuration, and management
- Proven track record in infrastructure provisioning, server automation, and capacity management
- Solid expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation tools, and monitoring solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with proactive decision-making abilities
Highly preferred:
- Experience leading technical teams, fostering collaboration, growth, and a performance-oriented culture
- Deep understanding of bare-metal kubernetes environments and hybrid infrastructure deployments
- Knowledge of security best practices within Kubernetes and containerized environments
Will be a plus:
- Experience with software development or scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- AWS, GCP, etc
