The Basel Drug Substance Manufacturing Site is a cornerstone of Roche's global production network. We are looking for a Chapter Lead Digital as part of the Digital, OE and Strategy Implementation Leadership Team to drive the deployment of core digital and transformative programs while unleashing strong business performance and GMP process foundations.
In this role, you will provide strategic and visionary leadership with a strong commitment to excellence in execution. You will lead, coach and catalyze the development of your direct reports, fostering a high-performing team. You will encourage and guide the team and the site-wide community in skill-building - discovering the most effective ways of working. You and your team will ultimately take the lead in upskilling our workforce in close alignment with our Operational Excellence and Training teams.
You will be responsible for the Digital Roadmap and act as Strategic Partner for the Site Leadership Team. In this function, you will liaise with colleagues from PTM, PTQ and PTE - collaborating on shared strategies and ensuring effective delivery on joint objectives.
Based on your expertise and leadership skills, you and your team will establish best practices and core capabilities in the digital space, accelerating the implementation of AI technologies in line with the corporate direction.
Digital Initiatives and Expertise
Develop, socialise and execute a compelling digital vision and roadmap for the site, in collaboration with the leadership team and global partners
Identify business needs and deliver digital solutions from concept to implementation
Build a strong network, act as a site ambassador and drive digital implementation excellence
explore digital trends, leverage AI knowledge and ensure manufacturing needs are met to create transformative value
Collaboration & Partnership
Co-design and deploy with local and global stakeholders all strategic digital initiatives with a strong, inclusive and empathic collaboration
Represent and shape the Roadmap in close collaboration with Operational Excellence and partners from PTE and PTM
Build external (academic, key suppliers) and internal critical partnerships to ensure robust delivery of strategic initiatives
Capabilities Development
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and digital affinity across the site organization
Unleash the team's ability to adopt the most efficient working methodologies and to lean digital processes
Support Daily Operations and Troubleshooting
Implement an expert support channel for troubleshooting operational issues, process automation and related digital fields
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and enhance process performance
You'll bring excellent people leadership capabilities with a proven track record of guiding and inspiring large organisations, as well as excellent skills in influencing and partnering with Senior Management and relevant Business Partners. You are skilled at promoting productive cooperation, both as a direct supervisor and in a matrix management role. You have excellent communication and cooperation skills.
10+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Comprehensive expertise within a manufacturing organization. You hold a degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
Strong expertise from Pharma and other industries in deploying complex digital initiatives, being the liaison with the digital capabilities and appropriately implementing AI technologies in line with the corporate direction.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of successfully deploying complex strategic digital initiatives
Strong experience in Operational Excellence and LEAN manufacturing system
Understand PT and site articulated vision, priorities, and demonstrate strong business acumen
