Are you eager to drive digital transformation along our Value-Chain and shaping our smart factory? As an Intern in our Digitalization team, you will support and potentially lead specific use-case-driven projects that aim to streamline operations and enable data-driven decision-making. We work hands-on with departments across the organization to identify, analyze, and digitize critical business processes – from streamlining material verification to optimizing assembly workflows. You’ll play an active role in translating real-world process and data challenges into digital solutions, gaining valuable experience in requirements engineering, process management, and continuous improvement along the way.
This full-time position is based at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, within the Supply & Value Chain Excellence business unit. The ideal start date would be October 2025 or as agreed for a minimum of 6 months.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate on concrete value chain digitalization use cases by supporting process mapping, analysis, and optimization activities
- Take ownership of selected projects or subprojects—working independently and in coordination with process owners and IT to translate business needs into IT-requirements
- Develop smaller applications from start to finish or support our IT department in the development, ensuring sustainable and maintainable solutions
- Organize and assist implementation of developed solutions in the shopfloor after rigorous testing
- Create engaging documentation, training materials, and visualizations to support project outcomes and user enablement
- Research new tools, methods, and best practices in digital process excellence and bring innovative ideas to the team
Your background:
- Enrolled or completed Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Information Systems or a related field—with a focus on digitalization and process optimization
- Strong understanding of digital technologies, digital transformation and process design
- Understanding of application development, data-visualization techniques and digital workflow tools is a plus
- Strong interest in fast-paced, project-based work
- Analytical and structured working style with a hands-on mindset
- Proactive communication skills and confidence to interact with diverse stakeholders
- Good communication skills in English and German
