Job summary
The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, storing, loading, unloading, sorting, segregating and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products to desired locations, in addition to picking, packing, shipping materials.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the daily flow of supplies and materials needed for daily operations. The warehouse associate is requested to strictly follow all safety requirements for hand and power tool operation, and housekeeping, safely transport products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner. The warehouse associate will also participate in inventory counts and ensure all necessary preparation required for inventory counts is completed. .

Receive and process inbound product, paperwork, and material, for GMP and Non-GMP areas per appropriate SOP’s and GMP documentation.
Material handling for various work areas within the organization
Verification, pick-up, and kitting, of requested materials from the warehouse for laboratory operations.
Count and safeguard all material entering the warehouse and prepare necessary documentation and enter all receipts to the computerized inventory system; Immediately identify and report all inbound damaged goods with a copy of the bill of lading or other documentation to the supervisor.
Responsible for completing paperwork for each task, cleaning procedures, aseptic processing techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety practices and procedures.
Strictly adherence to safety and compliance requirements as related to personal protection requirements and safeguard against injury to him/herself and all adjacent personnel.
Keep receiving, shipping and warehouse area orderly and remove waste in a timely manner.
Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.
Interface with other plant personnel in a courteous manner.Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.
Minimum Requirements
Experience & Education:
- High School Degree with two years’ experience in Warehousing Shipping, Receiving, and computerized inventory control Warehouse Management System (WMS). Swiss Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training in logistics preferred.
- Forklift operator certification recognised by SUVA mandatory. Commercial Drivers’ License with Hazardous Materials endorsement a plus.
- Have working knowledgeable of warehousing, including: receiving, housekeeping, computerized inventory control, picking, packing, location management, shipping, Health and Safety, ideally in an industrial environment (Pharmaceutical and Biotech ideal).
- Should possess basic knowledge of chemicals, use of MSDS sheets in a high-volume manufacturing operation and DOT requirements regarding the receipt of hazardous materials.
- Detail and quality oriented. Good attendance and reliable. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Professional communication, attitude, and image.
- Respond to customer inquiries as they relate to shipping/delivery of orders and refer clients to proper channels when necessary for prompt resolutions.
- Work with laboratory team to initiate production orders are pick completed and allocated in required areas
- Intermediate English required (good written skills and good level of understanding)
