Payroll and T&A Project ManagerYour role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
As part of the Payroll Strategy Programme deployment, you will work closely with the core Project Team. This team constitutes technical, functional, deployment & project governance workstreams and includes both ABB-internal resources and external experts.
The actual deployment of the defined future strategy is currently being prepared and will happen between 2026 and 2030.
This role is crucial for the project’s success by facilitating communication and coordination across workstreams and promoting transparency and accountability.
The role is reporting into the Global PMO Lead.
Preferred locations for this role are Poland, UK or Switzerland.
- Track programme progress, prepare status reports (incl. programme leadership status meetings and Steering Committee), and provide accurate information to stakeholders
- Provide administrative support to the programme, incl. resource planning and management, providing clarity on roles and responsibilities
- Support the global PMO Lead in the establishment of the programme governance frameworks and drive adherence to them
- Maintain a comprehensive document management framework
- Manage overview of submitted change requests (i.e. change log), coordinate approval process of change requests and provide guidance to all programme members
- Assist in identifying and monitoring risks, developing mitigation strategies, and enforcing programme governance frameworks
- Maintain tools for programme artefacts (e.g. SmartSheet, MS Teams, SharePoint, Azure DevOps)
- Collaborate with all workstreams in the payroll implementation programme and dependent functions to ensure effective communication across different parties and enable streamlined project delivery
- Manage the process of integrating new members into the programme (onboarding) and the process of departing members from the programme (offboarding)
- Support the programme head and programme manager with planning & scheduling
- 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in large-scale implementations with 3rd party payroll or HR systems
- Knowledge and experience with Workday HCM and SAP as well as payroll systems
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (in particular hybrid project management)
- Demonstrated ability to establish and oversee project governance frameworks
- Experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation and reporting
- Experience in engaging with stakeholders, managing expectations, and addressing concerns
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively and collaboratively across various teams, geographies and cultures
- Awareness and experience working in an agile environment as well as experience working in a decentralized and matrix organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English), effective collaboration and teamwork abilities
