Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Channel & Customer Director for our OTC category, based in Nyon, Switzerland.
The Channel & Customer Director – OTC leads the development of best practice guidance to drive superior execution of our portfolio at retail. This position plays a critical role in connecting with the BUs to bring the BU customer/retail issues and opportunities into the Global Category teams, ensuring the strategies and growth plans are well designed and fit for purpose for use by BUs to achieve superior outcomes in retail and ultimately drive category growth. The Channel & Customer Director is tasked with bringing the outside in so we create the most impactful,q growth driving strategies, plans and initiatives for execution through our retail partners, omnichannel, online and offline.
Key responsibilities
  • Integrate shopper, channel and customer insights in global category team strategic planning process and innovation development.
  • Lead the development of cross-portfolio creative and in store execution, developing pilots and testing plans to identify larger sources of category growth. This should include both global brands and local growth brands.
  • Manage the relationship with external agency partners engaged to provide support in the development and execution of relevant customer and shopper material to be activated by Business Units and market teams.
  • Lead the efforts to raise overall OTC team capability, level of competitiveness and best practice sharing in customer and shopper engagement. Laise with Region Comex, Portfolio and SSL (Shopper Science Lab) leads to capture best practice and learnings that help further superior execution.
  • Collaborate with CBIA, Global Innovation and Market Leads to enable impactful retailer sell-in and activation of our OTC brands. Partner with innovation and brand building teams to deliver best in class activation of gold launches with customers and shoppers.
  • Champion OTC sustainability and responsible business programs with Business Units for activation with customers.
  • Develop and integrate strategic principles and direction for Out Execute RGM lever including channel strategy, PPA (pack price architecture), category management, merchandising, and shopper marketing.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree; MBA desirable
  • 10+ Years of progressive sales experience (category management, account management, trade marketing, shopper research) or related.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in global / local CPG as well as exposure to all trade classes (dComm a plus).
  • Highly developed presentation skills, interpersonal skills, sales skills.
