Position Summary
Under general direction of the Sr. Manager - Business Projects, this role is responsible for supporting key project activities necessary to deliver new data services and execute other strategic initiatives.
Leveraging experience with analytics solution development, this role supports the Sr. Manager - Business Projects in end-to-end project management execution, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring tasks assignment and completion; creating and maintaining project artifacts, and ensuring appropriate definition and validation of user acceptance criteria.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support definition of project plans including milestones, key activities, and required resources, based on in-scope opportunities as directed by Senior Manager - Business Projects.
2. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and technical requirements.
3. Assist in assessing the technical feasibility of solutions, review delivery feasibility and provide accurate estimates.
4. Create user stories in collaboration with the solution design and development teams.
5. Develop acceptance criteria and validate adherence of the implemented solutions.
6. Coordinate with the project teams by assigning tasks according to the work plan, assessing impacts, and managing dependencies.
7. Monitor activities’ execution and ensure successful completion of deliverables.
8. Ensure handover of completed artifacts to transition project results to operations.
9. Report status of project activities to Senior Manager - Business Projects.
10. Create the necessary project management artifacts (e.g. project charter, project plan, Risk Action Decision Issue Log).
11. Plan and conduct meetings, communicate decision, and follow up on action items.
12. Perform related duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements
1. Broad training in fields such as business administration, computer sciences, engineering, mathematics, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree.
2. Project management experience ideally demonstrated through a certification.
3. Experience in the development and delivery of data and analytics services.
4. Experience in collaborating with technical and functional experts
5. Experience with pharmaceutical product and supply chain data is a plus.
6. Two to three (2-3) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
Minimum skills, knowledge and ability requirements
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills across internal and external partners and manufacturer customers with English being the primary language of communication.
2. Tact, diplomacy and courtesy; strong interpersonal skills.
3. Excellent prioritization and goal setting skills; ability to understand big picture while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
5. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates and management in a broad variety of functional areas.
6. Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices.
7. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; experience with Jira.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
