Project: To support a fast-moving data engineering function within a large international organisation we are looking for an experienced Product Owner (924315KS). Working closely with the Data Engineering Lead, you will help prioritise work, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment across data science, engineering, and business needs.
Tasks:
- Act as the main interface between stakeholders and the data engineering team
- Maintain and prioritise the product backlog for the data platform and related initiatives
- Translate business needs into actionable user stories and technical tasks
- Support the Data Engineering Lead in aligning strategic goals with delivery
- Help plan and coordinate releases in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum or SAFe)
- Track KPIs and help drive continuous improvement across delivery cycles
- Ensure clear communication between technical and non-technical teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within data or engineering environments
- Familiarity with data platforms, data pipelines, or analytics workflows
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Agile mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams
- Experience in complex or regulated environments (e.g. finance, telecoms, energy, infrastructure) is a plus
- Certified Product Owner (e.g. CSPO, PSPO) or similar Agile certification is preferred
- Fluent English and German is essential
