The opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Hub Product Line Engineering Manager for Insulation & Components (f/m/d) to lead the Engineering teams within the European factories while being focused on the design and development of innovative products, components, and assemblies. This role is responsible for driving the execution of functional strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence.
How'll you make an impact
- Lead and manage a department comprising multiple teams of engineers and Factory Engineering Managers
- Oversee the design and development of mechanical and electronic products that meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements
- Apply advanced engineering principles and mathematical modelling to evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed designs
- Guide the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes
- Driving product optimization to ensure competitiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product-specific manufacturing processes and equipment
- Solve complex engineering and organizational challenges through in-depth analysis and innovative thinking
- Influence and align stakeholders, including executive leadership, on engineering practices, project direction, and strategic initiatives
- Close interaction with Quality and Operations to constantly evaluate the quality of our products and for continuous improvement purpose
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and lean manufacturing principles
- Lead initiatives to optimize business processes and enhance internal tools, driving efficiency, scalability, and user experience across cross-functional teams
- As People Manager, you will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical. Chemical Engineering would be an advantage, or a related field
- Proven experience in product design engineering and Senior Leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing complex projects
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, especially at the executive level
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive continuous improvement
- Experience in managing cross-functional and cross-boarder engineering teams
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Written and spoken English, any other language is an advantage
- Solid knowledge in SAP S4Hana
- Willingness to travel up to a maximum of 20%
