Job Description
- Solid experience in clinical trials data Stat. programming combined with a strong expertise in diverse programming language: Open source : R, Python and SAS to support the SP global group transitioning and diversifying their skills.
- As a functional leader of AQS, acting with an enterprise mindset, fully involved in all aspects of Statistical Programming including the development of future strategies and processes. Contributes to the further development of the AQS organization with a focus on continuous improvement and quality by fostering statistical programming innovations, processes and solutions that ensure efficient implementation and knowledge sharing across Novartis.
- Understands the needs and expectations of the different Health Authorities, ensures audit readiness and participates in Health Authority inspections. Monitors all assigned projects within DU/sub-function which includes BR/GMA, complying with Novartis, AQS and industry standards (e.g. CDISC) and processes.
- Builds and establishes a strong team (with or without direct report) based on technical agility, capability, quality focus, excellence in performance and Novartis values and behaviors. Ensures the team addresses compliance matters in a timely way.
- Leads and supports global clinical and non-clinical projects and initiatives to drive functional excellence within AQS,
- Ensures high quality communication and information flow on status of all deliverables to stakeholders, mitigates and manages risks
- Set vision, strategy and direction for respective functional unit within statistical programming.
- Drive productivity and efficiency measures to meet Novartis strategic imperatives and productivity targets.
- Actively ensures that metrics for teams performance are in place and being met or exceeded.
- As a member of the Statistical Programming Leadership Team is fully involved in all aspects of Statistical Programming Operations and helps develop future strategies and inputs on processes.
- Contributes to the further development of the Statistical Programming organization with a focus on continuous improvement by ensuring statistical programming innovations, foster statistical programming solutions and ensuring their efficient implementation and knowledge sharing across Novartis.
- Ensures that team are tracking time in order to further evaluate business needs with regard to capacity forecasting and increasing productivity -Builds and establishes a strong team spirit and creates a team founded on technical ability, excellence in performance and Novartis values and behaviors.
- Leads and supports global clinical and non-clinical special projects and initiatives to drive functional excellence -Ensures high quality communication and information flow on status of all deliverables to stakeholders, mitigates and manages risks -Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)
Minimum Requirements:
- +15 yrs experience
- University or college degree in life science, computer science, statistics or other relevant field.
- Proven leadership, collaboration and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to successfully manage simultaneous deliverables and meet deadlines
- Excellent understanding of clinical trial methodology, GCP and medical terminology
