Associate or Full Professor of International Economics with a Specialization in Trade

Position description

The professor contributes to research, teaching and outreach activities of the WTI. The professorship focuses on international trade. The candidate has a proven track record of high-quality research, a track record in obtaining and managing external research funding, experience in supervising PhD and postdoc researchers, and has built strong research collaborations. The candidate shows a strong commitment to promoting early career researchers and gender equality/equal opportunities.

The position is advertised at the level of an associate or full professorship pursuant to the respective qualifications. The professor is one of the WTI Directors and a member of the Department of Economics of the University of Bern.

Suitable candidates possess competencies such as teamwork and communication skills and can manage complex leadership and conflict situations.
