The Strategic Sales team plays a crucial role in achieving the ambitious goals the Intermediaries division has set out for itself. The chosen candidate will support the design and implementation of ambitious new & innovative sales activities that will allow Julius Baer to grow and become an even stronger partner for our Intermediaries around the globe. The successful candidate will report to the Head Marketing & Sales Intermediaries and collaborate closely with the colleagues in our Regional Chief of Staff, Front, and global product units.YOUR CHALLENGE
- Support the evolvement of the Intermediaries Strategic Sales Framework to further establish Julius Baer as the partner of choice for Intermediaries around the globe
- Develop sales and offering related concepts to facilitate the decision-making process for (senior) management; this includes project lead / support where needed
- Create sales content dedicated to Intermediaries as well as internal stakeholders that is at the forefront of the industry; this includes direct and indirect distribution strategies
- Evolve the sales campaign framework, developing new channels and content strategies to support global strategic priorities
- Conceptualize, implement, run, and monitor sales campaigns incorporating geographical and target client requirements (“next best action”)
- Develop and maintain data driven analytical reports to identify upselling potential based on target client definition, trading behaviour and local situations
- Evolve the Intermediaries specific advisory & consulting approach; create and implement new consulting services when required
- Deliver high-quality, client-specific proposals by managing RfPs with speed and consistency
- Develop and implement adequate sales training programs in close collaboration with training and front units to establish one global sales standard
- Participation in ad-hoc projects as required within the Regional Chief of Staff area
YOUR PROFILE
- Above-average university degree (preferably master’s), ideally with a specialization in business, economics, or finance
- 5-8 years of professional experience in a similar role in the financial or (strategy) consulting industry
- Deep knowledge of the private banking industry in general and the Intermediaries industry in particular; this includes a good understanding of banking products and services
- Experience in quantitative / strategic sales management (steering and performance tracking of sales organizations); analytical way of thinking based on data is mandatory
- Ability to design and implement concepts related to target client offering, coverage models, pricing, promotion (sales), and training
- Strong and efficient project management skills with the ability to manage a number of different cross-functional projects and deliver them all on time
- Shows excellent analytical-conceptual skills, strong thought leadership and story-lining capabilities, structured and results-driven way of working, and ability to get things done
- Contributes with positive personality drive and energy to generate creative solutions for complex problems
- Excels at presenting and has proficiency in English (both written and oral), strong German language skills are a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at any seniority level
- Excellent proficiency in using modern banking applications and Microsoft Office applications; knowledge in Tableau / PowerBI is a plus
- Excellent team player that is easy to collaborate with and shows a “can do” attitude
