Job Family - Medical Affairs: Healthcare professionals, payers, and patients need to be heard and understood, with access to high quality, relevant, timely and fair-balanced medical and health economic information to ensure that informed decisions are made to drive the best possible patient care. Medical Affairs ensures that the medical needs of our customers are considered in all that we do, consistent with Haleon Values. Medical Affairs is responsible for deeply understanding the customer and the environment from a medical perspective so that they can ensure the clinical and economic data being developed will provide the greatest opportunity for the appropriate patients and to provide commercial colleagues with a deeper understanding of the medical relevance of the data generated. Medical Affairs is responsible for Phase 3b and 4 evidence generation, external and scientific engagement and internal medical advice on our medicines and the marketplace from a medical perspective
Job Family Group - Medical and Clinical: Evaluates the efficacy and safety of drugs in human clinical studies. As an Office Based Medical and Scientific Affairs Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for ensuring adequate therapy area input, maximized leveraging of existing Medical platforms, and aligned implementation of Medical and Scientific Affairs processes and initiatives across the Medical organization.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Represent business voice, leverage Medical platforms, and lead implementation and support for Medical and Scientific Affairs processes and projects launched across Global Medical and Scientific Affairs (GMA) and regions.
- Serve as GMA representative to support transversal business prioritization exercises (e.g. Business Planning, Green Table), orchestrate Regional Prioritization, and ensure follow-up of delivery.
- Establish and enhance effective GMA communication and exchange with Local Operating Companies (BUs).
- Impact assessment and support for roll-out of new processes in collaboration with Business Operations Lead.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) to embed innovative processes (from Medical Innovation) in GMA and regional teams.
- Establish and enhance mechanisms to leverage Medical Insights across Medical Affairs.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Physician or Pharmacist with 3 or more years of experience
- Master’s degree in Science with 5 or more years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting
- Experience in Code of Promotion and Scientific Engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Excellent understanding of medical functions and medical affairs activities
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communications skills
- Ability to develop relationships based upon trust and mutual respect
