Join the fast-paced and dynamic JPM Suisse Private Bank Client Operations team to onboard new clients, maintain existing accounts and drive best practices whilst ensuring we adhere to regulatory requirements.
As a Know Your Client (KYC) Specialist within the wider Client Operations team, you will play a key role on ensuring adherence to regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements. The team combines (i) expertise in local and international regulatory standards, (ii) effective collaboration with front office and control functions, and (iii) meticulous attention to detail and a risk-focused mindset tailored to individual client situations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the KYC Periodic Reviews production process per client relationship
- Prepare client-specific KYC-related analyses, interacting with bankers to obtain KYC information and documentation
- Provide guidance to the Front Office in respect of the KYC requirement of JP Morgan
- Perform remediation exercise as requested
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Quality Control to keep the rejection rate to the minimum
- Create and maintain consistency regarding KYC Periodic Reviews cross markets
- Ensure a good and smooth relationship with our key stakeholders, e.g. Business, Compliance, Legal, Client Services to ensure the best client experience
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher education
- Familiarity with Swiss Law, Swiss banks’ code of conduct with regard to the exercise of due diligence (CDB),OBA FINMA and other regulatory topics
- Sound understanding of KYC/AML fields
- Knowledge of the different structures within the Wealth Management industry
- Strong communication skills with ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent organizational skills - attention to detail, methodical, process oriented
- Fluency in English mandatory
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Fluency in French, German, Spanish, Arabic or Portuguese would also be a strong advantage
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility as well as willingness to make decisions
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently and prioritize effectively
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular with Word and Excel
