Global Direct Procurement Optimization Lead

Position Summary
The Global Procurement Optimization Director will be responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across ADM’s global Direct Procurement organization for Nutrition. This leadership role will focus on designing efficient structures, optimizing procurement processes, enhancing digital capabilities, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. You will report directly to the VP Direct Procurement – Nutrition and play a central role in aligning global sourcing initiatives with broader business goals. 
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect functional leadership to global and regional procurement professionals.
• Design and implement new organizational structures and business models, integrating decentralized or “shadow” organizations into the global procurement framework.
• Develop, implement, and manage a global Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) strategy, including support for crisis response and business continuity planning.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives within Direct Procurement (e.g., Power BI implementation, procurement dashboards, and internal knowledge hubs).
• Identify, evaluate, and roll out innovative sourcing strategies, business cases, and optimization opportunities (e.g., category strategy development, TCO analyses).
• Drive and coordinate multinational and cross-functional projects (e.g., SCRM, SRM, task forces).
• Support annual procurement goal-setting and performance tracking.
• Harmonize global reporting, tools, and processes (e.g., market intelligence platforms, risk tracking tools).
• Prepare global and regional ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Support the adoption of e-sourcing solutions and ensure best practices in digital procurement.
• Champion continuous improvement, training, and change management initiatives to strengthen internal capabilities and stakeholder engagement.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Direct procurement, with demonstrated success in global roles.
• Strong experience in project leadership, organizational transformation, and digital procurement tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, e-sourcing platforms).
• Prior experience as a Category Manager in Animal Nutrition (AN) and/or Human Nutrition (HN) is highly preferred.
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., Spanish, German) are a plus.
