The Global Communications Manager will provide support to the Global Communications Director on strategic issues while serving as overall project manager for Communication activities and key liaison for all functional interfaces. This role will also serve as the single point of contact for all communication issues including all change communications programs implemented throughout the group.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the global communication project timelines and planning pipelines for group communication initiatives.
- Manage the usage, growth and optimization of the internal communication system
- Manage the functional assets in terms of software, relationships, and documentation
- Work closely with IT infra and Security as part of the Internal Comms steerco
- Champion the use of compliant tools to achieve desired results – M365, JungleMail, PowerAutomate, etc.
- Collaborate cross functionally with the Marketing Communications team as liaison for all inter-functional initiatives (Marketing Communications, vertical & regional).
- Provide management of our outbound publishing/press calendar
- Support Corporate Events/townhalls planning and management and execution
- Train stakeholders in and manage roll out of Internal communications tools
- Develop communication support for key stakeholders (story lining, key messaging, presentations)
- Host and manage internal podcast production, pipeline and training for regions
- Support project owners in developing and rolling out impactful internal campaigns
- Film and edit internal video projects when needed
Core competencies and requirements
Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or equivalent, Master’s preferred.
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the fields of communications, ideally in a matrixed multinational
- Strong combination of project management, content creation and digital communications skills
- Very strong coordination, and cross-functional management skills.
Technical / Language Skills (Certification, licenses and registration)
- Excellent PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
- Solid fundamentals in core IT suite - Adobe CC, Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Online), standard SaaS solutions (monitoring, social management, mailers, wire services), practical CMS usage
- Video editing and/or HTML skills not required but an asset
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages a plus.
