Job Information:

- For the adult:
- Availability: Tuesday morning (8:00am – 12:00pm); Thursday morning (8:00am – 12:00pm)
- Preferred start date: Monday, September 1, 2025
- Lesson Frequency: 2x a week
- Lesson Duration: 1h per session
- Student’s location/: Near Spittalgasse, Bern – Student's office.
- Current target language level: Complete beginner
- Native and other spoken languages: Romanian, English advanced, Italian beginner
- Student’s language needs and goals: She would like to be able to handle basic day to day activities in the local language: going to the grocery store, ordering at restaurant, doctor appointments, connects with local authorities for regular paperwork, asking for directions
- For the child - 10-years-old
• Availability: Tuesday evening (4:00pm - 8:00pm)
• Thursday evening (4:00pm - 8:00pm)
• Preferred start date: Monday, September 1, 2025
• Lesson Frequency: 2x a week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hr per session
• Student’s location/: Near Spittalgasse, Bern – Student's office.
• Current target language level: Complete beginner
• Native and other spoken languages: Romanian, English - advanced
• Student’s language needs and goals: Be able to handle basic communications in the local language: safety, directions, transport, shopping. It may also be a good introduction as she will be learning the language in school as of 2026, as the 3rd language.

Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners towards learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the German language
- To have a degree or certification in teaching, linguistics, or similar field
- To have a minimum of two years of teaching German language experience
