To strengthen our Operations team in Zurich, we are looking for an ambitious talent for the position as
Fund Controller – Private Equity (100%)
The Fund Controller is a core member of the Fund Management team as part of the Fund Operations and Services team and the Operations department, responsible for contributing to all aspects of the operational management of our Private Equity products and beyond.
What you’ll do
- Operational management of the Schroders Capital fund of funds, mandates, special purpose vehicles and specialized PE products (e.g. financial accounting and reporting, cash management)
- Collaborating with investors, fund managers, investment partners, auditors, administrators, and other internal/external customers
- Monitoring of portfolio companies, funds and client products as well as the reconciliation/testing of information accuracy and consistency
- Oversight investment reports that form the basis for Schroders Capital’s reporting obligations to investors at portfolio company and investment fund level, analyze information and determine the correct valuations
- Manage internal workflows and ensure that all applicable deadlines are met
- Enable, support and inspire change initiatives within Fund Operations
- Support and coordinate (if required) projects as well as the optimization and maintenance of our processes
- Define and determine business requirements proactively
- Contribute to an encouraging and creative environment Support other team members proactively and without being asked
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant field like finance, accounting, audit, administration or controlling, or multiple years of experience in a relevant role
- Big 4 background is a plus
- Several years working experience at a financial services company; experience in the private assets (e.g. Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure or Private Debt) industry is a bonus
- Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel, databases, Power BI, Power Query, and similar analytical tools
- Knowledge of eFront software is a plus
- Experience in working with colleagues and stakeholders globally and sensitivity to cultural differences Excellent command of English language, written and spoken, German is a strong plus, any other European language would be appreciated
