We are searching for the best talent for Director, Procurement Operational Excellence! This hybrid position to be located in Zug, Switzerland; Titusville, NJ; Raritan NJ; Spring House, PA; or Malvern, PA US.
The IMSCP Operational Excellence team is essential for enhancing operational efficiency by providing support in data analytics, price management, spend analysis, and supply risk event management, which includes tackling supply issues, coordinating Tiger teams, and assessing performance metrics.
This involves collaborating with planning teams to drive advanced Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and strategic initiatives such as inventory optimization and collaborative planning. Additionally, the team actively supports the execution of Supply Risk Assessment (SPRA) and Supply Chain Resiliency initiatives, ensuring proactive measures against potential supply disruptions.
The IMSCP Operational Excellence team will also spearhead continuous improvement efforts, identifying and implementing scalable efficiency opportunities while leveraging digital solutions to transform processes and significantly enhance functional effectiveness across the organization.
You will be responsible for:
Establishes and leads a new, highly effective Procurement Operational Excellence organization and team
Develops, leads and enhances the intake process definition and resource model
Key POC or escalation for planning leads, GCL’s. stakeholder management
Responsible for identifying and implementing initiatives for Continuous improvement, Risk management, resiliency (reliability).
Change Control Management: Works with DOTS to shape the support all execution aspects of complex supply-led Change Control (CC), including integrator role, CC Comet tasks, analytics, and escalations. Ensure effective change management practices are implemented.
Data Analytics: leads a team of professionals and shapes the strategy to use procurement data systems to generate insights and analytics. Support data requests for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), T2Ts, and category strategies.
Hot Topics Team Leadership: Lead the team addressing hot topics, ensuring open order calls with suppliers, participation in S&OP meetings, handling invoice escalations, and resolving repeat quality issues.
Value Optimization: leads the strategy to support the identification of the implementation value optimization strategies for categories, utilizing digital tools and AI to analyze lead-time opportunities and ordering patterns.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements in procurement operations, implementing best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Knowledge platform. Responsible for establishing and leading a strategic knowledge platform that enables collaboration, innovation, and best practice sharing across IMSC Procurement.
Communication and Influencing: Demonstrate strong communication skills to influence decision-makers and drive procurement operational effective initiatives effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage effectively with various stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.
This position will have 2 direct reports and a group of approximately 9 people.
The Director Procurement Operational Excellence is part of the IMSC Procurement organization and reports to the Head of IMSC Procurement Excellence.
Qualifications / Requirements:
To effectively lead procurement operational excellence initiatives and enhance procurement capabilities, candidates must have a robust and diverse skill set. This includes significant experience in supply chain management, procurement strategies, and sourcing goods and services essential for achieving manufacturing and operational success.
A deep understanding of market dynamics, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization is critical.
Additionally, proven leadership abilities, strong analytical skills, and a track record of driving process improvements will empower the candidate to lead teams and implement best practices that foster a culture of excellence within the procurement function.
