Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and implementing environmental, health, and safety related compliance programs and/or projects
- Ensures compliance with federal, provincial and municipal regulations and corporate policy and guidelines
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company standards
- Provides training and education to employees on EHS matters and promotes a culture of safety within the organization
- Undertakes most difficult projects, assessments and solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years' relevant experience including experience at a manufacturing site
- Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Large pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing experience
