AI Supply Chain Planning Manager
As Active Ingredient (AI) Supply Chain Planning Manager you will lead team of AI Master Planners responsible for reviewing and refining the demand, supply, and inventory plans produced by the planning system (IBP Supply Solver) and other validation tools. The focus is on ensuring a balanced and optimized supply plan for Global Active Ingredients across a 36-month horizon. Once the plan is aligned, the role oversees execution support in collaboration with relevant functions. Serving as the first point of escalation for supply chain planning issues, this position plays a critical role in driving timely resolutions and supporting the company’s business objectives as defined by the Supply Chain Planning Director.
What you'll do with us:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Tollers, and Suppliers to resolve demand/supply imbalances, manage order fulfillment, address supply issues, and ensure compliance with manufacturing and logistics regulations.
- Manage planning systems (SAP & IBP Solver) to support demand forecasting, AI production planning, and raw material/intermediate requisitions across global sites.
- Drive scenario planning and risk mitigation in partnership with leadership and sourcing teams to respond to demand fluctuations and secure uninterrupted AI and RM supply.
- Optimize and track global inventory, ensuring alignment with company targets while reporting monthly performance and year-end projections.
- Lead and participate in S&OP processes, including monthly Supply Consensus, GSR, and Pre-S&OP meetings, ensuring alignment across supply and demand planning.
- Engage with tollers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage forecasts, production schedules, delivery timelines, QAR plans, and regulatory support for AIs.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including sourcing strategy development, supply chain improvement projects, cost reduction efforts, budgeting processes, and onboarding of new contract manufacturers.
Your qualification & attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or Business; advanced certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM) are a strong plus.
- 10+ years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, ideally within multinational environments and with a background in supply chain or engineering.
- Proven expertise across supply chain functions including S&OP, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and procurement.
- Strong SAP knowledge, particularly in PP/PE modules; experience with advanced planning tools is a plus.
- Solid financial acumen with the ability to perform cost-benefit analyses and support data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and managing high-performing teams and leading projects.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
