With 29 sites across Europe and 2000 researchers, Huawei’s European Research Institute (ERI) oversees fundamental and applied technology research, academic research cooperation projects, and strategic technical planning across our network of European R&D facilities. Huawei’s ERI includes the Switzerland Research Center.
Huawei’ Switzerland Research Centre is responsible for advanced technology research, computing architecture, computing vision and architecture evolution design.
We are searching for a talented Technical Cooperation and Insight Specialist to work on our technology partnerships within Switzerland. The role is based in Zurich.
Requirements:
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong interest in research, innovation management, or technology planning.
- Excellent comprehension of technical content (e.g., academic articles, market research, and other data sources).
- Highly skilled in producing clear, concise, and well-structured summaries and presentations.
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ideally 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in written and spoken in English
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep-tech research, reviews and analyse on emerging technologies using academic, market, and industry sources.
- Track developments in areas such as AI infrastructure, AI Data Movement and other related areas.
- Synthesize findings into clear, concise internal summaries and presentations.
- Support project coordination: timelines, deliverables, and cross-team communication.
- Prepare for and participate in international meetings, including collaboration with China-based and European teams.
- Manage logistical and administrative tasks for innovation team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in academic research or technical writing and collaborations with the academy and industry.
