Start February 1, 2026 •Facilitate the successful completion of the Critical Conservation research project and collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the successful delivery of all its components.
•Conduct field research, evaluate the results, and translate them into research outputs related to one of the project's sub-themes.
•Research, write, and publish academic articles in peer-reviewed formats, maintain the project's website and deliver other agreed-upon outputs.
•Contribute to the organization and facilitation of internal and public meetings, as well as other forms of project communication and dissemination targeting academic and professional audiences.
•Interviews will take place in person on August 25 and 26 in Bern. A detailed description of the role is accessible [here]. •At least an MA (PhD is preferable) or equivalent in heritage studies, heritage conservation, or a related field, along with a keen interest in the project's research questions.
•Proven proficiency in independent research, ideally within conservation and critical heritage studies at the intersection of the human sciences.
•Experience in inter- and transdisciplinary project work, coupled with a high degree of independence.
•Active engagement in current debates, critical reflection on existing sources, and strong skills in interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork.
