For our client at a federal agency, we are seeking a Project Manager (HERMES) – Data Center Resilience 60% (Reference No.: 924258OK). The goal of the project is to implement a resilient, georedundant core IT infrastructure in the federal data center. The necessary technical and organizational

Conditions must be created to ensure that the required recovery times can be met even in the event of a major incident.

Tasks:

• Collect requirements
• Develop a technical solution
• Procure systems and facilities
• Define organizational requirements (personnel, finances, processes)
• Clarify which services should/must be provided in-house and which should/must be purchased
• Prepare housing and network infrastructure according to the new zone concept (NZM)
• Implement the core IT infrastructure in the data center and put it into operation

Requirements:

• Project management experience – The candidate has proven experience as a project manager using the Hermes project management method. Within the past four years, they have served in this role on at least one project for a continuous period of at least six months. The reference project in question must be classified as at least medium-sized.
• Experience in IT infrastructure projects – The person selected for the position has proven experience in managing IT infrastructure projects (e.g., in the areas of servers, telecommunications, networks). They have held managerial responsibilities in at least one relevant project for at least six months within the last four years and have demonstrably contributed significantly to the project's success (e.g., through coordination, planning, implementation, or management of technical implementation teams).
• Knowledge of core infrastructure and network topics within the Federal Administration – The applicant has in-depth and demonstrable knowledge of key infrastructure areas of the Federal Administration (e.g., network architectures, firewalls, VPN, server and storage systems, identity and access management, or communications infrastructures). This knowledge has been applied within the framework of at least one project or mandate within the Federal Administration within the last four years. The assignment must have lasted at least six months, and the activity must be described as practical (e.g., analysis, planning, implementation, or operation of corresponding infrastructure components within the Federal Administration).
