MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Piano Teacher, you will provide individual lessons to students aged 7 to 18, fostering both technical skills and musical expression. You will encourage students to develop consistent practice habits, cultivate their appreciation for music, and prepare them for performances or examinations where relevant.
KEY ESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and delivering engaging and progressive piano lessons;
- Ensuring that students enjoy a positive and stimulating learning experience while developing their skills;
- Maintaining discipline and a safe learning environment;
- Preparing students for recitals, examinations, or school events as required;
- Contributing to the wider extra-curricular music programme;
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND OMPETENCES
As a qualified and passionate piano teacher, you have proven experience in effectively teaching children and adolescents aged 7 to 18. Your engaging and motivating teaching style, combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills, makes you a positive role model. You are committed to maintaining high teaching standards, are fluent in English and/or French, and value an inclusive approach to music education. Your flexibility and responsiveness further support collaboration with colleagues and contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning community.
CONDITIONS
The selected candidate will start as soon as possible and work a few days per week (to be determined) after 4 p.m.. The position is hourly paid.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships.
