Research Experts
Democracy International (DI) is seeking to hire a up to five Research Experts with expertise in education, early childhood development, and data collection to conduct an Evaluation for Read@Home Intervention for the World Bank in Eswatini. We expect a mix of team members with different expertise, including a deep experience working in Eswatini and an international perspective on comparative childhood development and education programs. This will be contingent on award and funding. The roles include the following and we encourage individuals from Eswatini and the region to submit their resumes for consideration..
Qualifications:
Program Manager (Evaluation Expert) (one position)
- At least a Master’s qualification in social science, statistics, demographics, or research. A qualification in evaluations would be an added advantage.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in conducting evaluations for development projects, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills, with demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Familiarity with early childhood development and education programs, particularly in the context of low-resource settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Data Analysts and Field Researchers (multiple positions)
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, statistics, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in field research, quantitative and qualitative research (conducting surveys, observations, interview.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and using analytical software.
- Familiarity with early childhood development and education programs, particularly in the context of low-resource settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present data effectively.
