The Team
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role in Switzerland will join the Medical Affairs team with a focus on the pre-launch activities of an Anti-Infective product in the Swiss market to ensure successful submission to the regulatory authorities.
The MSL will provide Field-based non-promotional scientific expertise and educational support for internal and external stakeholders across Switzerland. The role will contribute to the development of Medical strategic plans and provide the medical community with access to the most recent scientific and medical information in order to allow healthcare professionals to make informed decisions for their patients
Role and Responsibilities
KEE Engagement
Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key external experts, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions.
Act as a scientific resource to KEEs and facilitate scientific discussions on our therapeutic areas of focus.
Organize and participate in advisory boards, investigator meetings, and scientific symposia.
Collaborate with the external scientific community to explore ways of facilitating medical education and research within the spirit of the Swiss regulations and industry Code.
Scientific Communication
Deliver presentations and scientific information to healthcare professionals and KEEs, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Appropriately respond to medical inquiries and requests for information from external sources within the spirit of the Swiss Regulations and industry Code
Keep abreast of the latest developments in relevant therapeutic areas and communicate scientific insights internally.
Support in the creation and development of publications (abstracts, posters, case studies and peer reviewed papers)
Clinical Trials Support
Collaborate with clinical development teams to provide input on study design, protocol development, and investigator-initiated research.
Assist in the identification and engagement of potential and active investigators for clinical trials.
Support IIT initiatives
Development and delivery of the medical plan
Attend and submit content for appropriate regional, national, and international meetings and congresses.
Collaborate with local colleagues to implement medical strategies.
Develop and maintain an up to date and deep clinical and scientific understanding of the therapeutic area of responsibility, including clinical data, indications, and competitor information.
Cross-functional collaboration
Build relationships with internal stakeholders globally and local e.g. sales, marketing, market access etc
Provide scientific support to internal teams, including training for sales and marketing colleagues.
What you’ll bring
Ideally have a Degree in life sciences: medicine, pharmacy etc - a Medical Degree would be advantageous
Previous MSL experience in Switzerland
Previous Anti-Infective / Infectious Disease therapeutic area experience would be beneficial - Anti-Fungal specifically would be ideal. Also open to Oncology and intensive care backgrounds
Previous Pre-launch experience would be ideal
Good understanding of the local Code of Practice
Excellent networking, presentation and communication skills and a proven track record of:
