Job Description
Purpose of the position
We are looking for a committed M&A Analyst with strong financial modelling skills and passionate about the energy industry. The role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the Group.
Main responsibilities and duties
- Participate in buy side cross border transactions, supporting the growth of all MET Group divisions, with focus on power generation assets (gas power plants, renewables, batteries etc.), power&gas sales businesses, LNG value chain and commodity trading houses.
- Company valuation and financial modeling in Excel for energy projects
- Preparation of internal presentations and investment papers
- Support in due diligence activities
- Support strategy analysis and discussions for the Group
Qualifications
- Tier 1 university degree in finance/economics
- 1-3 years' buyside experience in M&A in investment banking, private equity or project finance team, focused on the energy sector
- Proven excellent financial modelling skills, with at least 1-2 years in a role focused on financial modelling and valuations
- Fluent in English, German skills are highly appreciated
- Team player with good organizational skills
- Ability to meet short deadlines with attention to details
