YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

In a high-volume corporate cafeteria, the Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment and work areas, strictly adhering to hygiene standards.

Dishwashing (Manual and Mechanical)

• Continuous washing of dishes, cutlery, glassware, and trays throughout service.
  
• Intensive cleaning of kitchenware: pots, pans, containers, grills.
  
• Efficient use of the industrial dishwasher (washing tunnel).
• Sorting, storing, and inspecting equipment for cleanliness before reuse.

Hygiene of Work Areas

• Regular cleaning and disinfection of work surfaces, trolleys, etc.
  
• Maintenance of sinks, faucets, and dishwashing zones.
  
• Frequent floor cleaning, including baseboards, drains, and hard-to-reach areas.
  
• Scheduled cleaning of small kitchen equipment.
  
• Strict application of HACCP standards and disinfection protocols.
  
• Waste management: sorting, emptying, washing, and disinfecting waste containers.

Logistical Support

• Receiving and unpacking deliveries when needed.
  
• Storing goods in designated areas.
  
• Assisting with kitchen closing duties: deep cleaning, tidying, restocking.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  
• Speed, efficiency, and physical stamina.
• Organisational skills, autonomy, and ability to prioritise.
  
• Discretion, punctuality, and team spirit.
  
• Ability to handle peak workloads during busy period.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Regular hours: lunchtime service on weekdays only.
  
• Standing work in a warm, humid, and sometimes noisy environment.
  
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Starting ASAP.
  
• Position located in Geneva.
  
• Full Time & Permanent Contract.
  
• EU citizenship or valid Swiss work permit is required.
