Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- Manage inventories, including following up CMA position, releases and encashment
- Keep insurance position updated for vessel and inventories
- Update front system as necessary
- Issue documents as required by contracts
- Have document issued by third as required by contract and check them
- Liaise with traders, suppliers, customers as required
- Participate to meetings as required for the good working of service and platforms
- Check and follow up on payments
- Prepare draft discounting and discount draft with banks, follow up on encashment of proceeds
- Ensure execution are done in a smooth way to the satisfaction of trading
Execution Account Management
- Nomination/Chartering Advices to Shipper/Receivers as per contractual rules
- Timely appointment of services providers
- Follow up daily operations - alert and propose solutions to potential contractual and operational issues
- Account Management responsibility on the full execution flow for a selection of key customers.
- Direct relationship with assigned customers to ensure good fulfillment of contracts and service performance.
- Liaise with Traders, Freight and internal services providers (controlling/risk…) for required support to the execution of the trade.
- Presentation and Follow up on Drafts (payments) status
- Support arbitration and trading teams should claims arise
Execution Supervision
- Become an expert of the business execution flows and processes, including the operational transactions in the regions trade
- Supervise the open position for selected customers
- Ensure compliance of the contract management policy and any other company and platform policies.
- Provide extensive reporting support on execution status
- Support the head of execution on the implementation of processes, procedure drafting and structuring related projects.
Experience
Preferably 2 to 7 years in international trade operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in international commerce, import and export process and customs regulations
- Skills in Microsoft Excel and database systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload over a high volume desk
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders
- Finance and accounting for non-specialists
- Detail oriented with high attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
Languages:
English – Fluent
French –Fluent
Academics
- Bachelor in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain or related fields.
