JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Lead IGC operations, in order to deliver the short and long term operations performance expectations of the business
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
- Scope: Bodio Synthetic Graphite Plant (Switzerland) , Willebroek carbon Black Plant (Belgium) , Terrebonne Natural Graphite Processing plant (Canada), Kitakyushu CVD coating plant (Japan), IGC Supply Chain, IGC Global Engineering and Industrial Development Department
- Budget: ca. 235 M€
- Number of direct reports: 8
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Health & Safety across IGC, with particular accountability for IGC production plants, by driving Imerys safety culture through personal safety leadership.
Act as a key member of IGC Management team, co- responsible for driving the Strategic vision of the business, and act as an effective link between Operations and commercial within the Division to contribute to all decisions.
Manage the IGC Operations team, through strong leadership and influence to develop people and organization.
Be responsible for setting up a greenfield carbon black plant anywhere in the world, mostly in Malaysia.
Set operations strategies and targets while understanding the impact for business and ensure execution
Responsible for:
- the respect all EHS law, regulations and norms while ensuring a properly documented continuous improvement of IGC regarding EHS
- to produce and deliver the required products when needed, within specification, in the needed quantities at the lowest possible costs, taking always into account short and long term considerations
- to ensure the production of constant quality products with the appropriate documented controls (including active influence on the processes)
- to maintain, constantly optimize and improve the production equipments, the production processes and the skills of the workforce
