Job Description Summary
Lead the processes related to planning & actual performance management (consolidation, analysis) for Novartis P&L and Cash Flow. Owns the annual & 3-We’re a team of dedicated and smart people united by a drive to achieve together.You will lead the processes related to planning & actual performance management (consolidation, analysis) for Total Novartis P&L and Free Cash Flow and drive the annual & 3-year planning, quarter and month end process and interactions with different units and functions. You will steer process optimization and reporting efficiency, leading a team of highly engaged BPA specialists. Works in close collaboration with Unit CFOs, BPA Heads and other key Finance function representatives.
Job Description
Key Responsibles:
Responsible to provide consolidated views of NVS financial results (P&L and FCF) used for key executive presentations including business drivers/analyses
Owns the overall consolidation process for actuals and planning cycles coordinating with the units and functions
Leads the process related to Strategic Product Charge (SPC) including owning and driving SPC concept and methodology and leading the annual review and update including top management alignment
Own FCF reporting and planning including simulations and robust analytics behind WoC, CapEx, and other relevant B/S items. Key interface with stakeholders (e.g. Treasury, FRA, BD&L, Units) for FCF analysis
Lead several management reports and executive presentations, including support for Investor Relations processes including key materials and validations for the quarterly financial Press Release
Manages system set up and processes working with Units, functions and Digital finance regarding BPC / genie / cockpit (data maintenance, enhancements etc.)
Drive continuous automation & simplification initiatives to optimize financial planning and reporting processes
Coordinate and propel planning processes forward by ideating, vetting and consulting on both technical and procedural planning steps
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Criteria:
Relevant degree (e.g.in Finance & Accounting)
Country experience gained in Financial Planning and Analysis, Controlling / Financial Accounting, Project Management
Ability to deal with highly complex environment, reducing complexity into strategy decision recommendations
Strong executive level communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
Proven leadership skills in building, developing, and inspiring a team
Proficiency in English required – spoken & written
Desirable Criteria:
MBA, Advanced degree preferred
