Title: Group Finance Manager

YOUR ROLE:
As the Group Finance Manager, you will serve as the key member of the finance team in strategic planning, budgeting, decision support, and financial modelling. You will equip internal functions to make informed decisions using historical data, forecasting performance, and running sensitivity analyses. You will report directly to the CFO and together, you will redesign and automate existing financial reporting. You will collect, review, and challenge data for the monthly financial reporting deck. Recurring tasks will include month-end closing and reporting, monthly revenue recognition, forecasting/budgeting, cost/management accounting and payroll processing. Project tasks will include ad-hoc analyses, process and system improvements (automation and AI support), audit preparation, transfer pricing, and cross-functional projects. You will oversee day to day accounting and finance allowing the CFO to shift focus from daily finance operations toward leading the function to increased performance and profitability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Build financial models and run scenario/sensitivity analyses to support business decisions
- Partner with Sales Ops and business unit leaders to provide financial insights
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and margin enhancement
Controlling & Reporting
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on performance vs budget
- Support group consolidation and reporting across multiple international entities
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial policies to support audit readiness and data integrity
Accounting & Compliance
- Prepare and post journal entries and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Own the month-end and year-end close process across multiple entities (e.g., CH, DE, UK, US)
- Oversee and process payroll in coordination with HR and external providers, ensuring compliance with tax and labour regulations
- Coordinate audit processes and ensure compliance with Swiss CO, local GAAP, and group standards
- Reviewing tax computations and corporate tax filings ensuring timely filing of tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
Finance Systems & Process Improvement
- Contribute to the automation of finance processes and reporting tools (e.g., dashboards, KPIs)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve workflows and support scalability
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems and support the integration of new technologies and platforms (e.g., AI assistants, analytics tools)
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Controlling or equivalent certification required - (e.g. Eidg. dipl. Rechnungslegung und Controlling, Bachelor in Accounting & Controlling, Dipl. Controller/in NDS HF, Controllers Diplom CA, MAS Controlling & Consulting, ACCA)
- A minimum of 8 years' experience, ideally within a small to medium size company with a strong growth trajectory. Of those 8 plus years, more than 6 years working as a Senior Accountant/Controller and 2 years in operational accounting
- Solid experience with financial reporting in entities in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and/or the US is highly desirable
- Collaborative personality with a hands-on mentality who feels comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, used to finding solutions to a wide range of topics
- Fluent with accounting related software - advanced Excel (Macros), knowledge of Salesforce.com and Certinia a plus and ideally a user of Power BI or Tableau
- Controlling background in the consulting / professional services environment is a strong plus
- Excellent English language skills are a must; German language skills are a strong plus
- You appreciate working in an office and are open to being on-site a minimum of 3 days per week in our Zug office
