About the role
You will be working at the intersection of classical computer vision and deep learning, with a focus on improving our feature tracking algorithms on our localization pipelines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching and evaluating state-of-the-art deep learning-based feature descriptors and tracking methods.
- Benchmarking and comparing their performance in both tracking stability and match quality.
- Prototyping and integrating suitable methods into our existing pipeline.
- Collaborating with the R&D team to ensure practical deployment and performance.
Your profile
- Pursuing a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related field; equivalent practical experience also considered.
- Interest or experience in deep learning-based feature descriptors (e.g., SuperPoint, D2-Net, R2D2, etc.).
- Interest in real-time or resource-constrained deployment.
- Independent, proactive, and eager to tackle practical engineering challenges.
- Fluent in English.
