Under the supervision of the Head of Children and Youth on the Move (CYM) Program, the CYM Advisor is responsible for:
- developing thematic approaches and methodologies specific to Migration/ Displacement as well as adapting, deploying and monitoring them at global level.
- leading project proposals (global or inter-regional) and contributing to fundraising in CYM programming.
- providing technical support and guidance for projects with CYM expertise.
- managing and sharing knowledge in the field of Migration/ Displacement with Tdh teams (training, coaching) by contributing, among others, to the digitalisation of methods and procedures arising from his or her activities.
- ensuring the quality and alignment of projects in the field of CYM.
- occasionally contributing to academic research.
- following-up of requests relating to adoption file archives managed by the former ROAD Service (closed in 2013).
Profile :
- Master's level (minimum) from a recognised institution in a relevant field: political science, migration, international relations, sociology, anthropology, social work, economics, law, etc.
- At least 8 years' experience in the field of mobility (child migrant workers, irregular migration, human trafficking, internally displaced persons, asylum seekers, refugees, returnees, etc.), in the protection, (re)integration, social inclusion, empowerment of young people and promotion of children's voices.
- Solid understanding and experience of mobility in the field.
- At least 5 years' experience in programme management and the development of expertise, capacity building, operational implementation, coordination, monitoring/evaluation and capitalisation/knowledge management.
- At least 5 years' experience in developing proposals and engaging donors.
- Good knowledge of networks active in the field of mobility from the angle of information, prevention, protection, integration and reintegration of children and youth on the move, social inclusion, empowerment of young people and promotion of children's rights.
- Fluency in spoken and written French and in spoken and written English.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office 365 suite: Word, Excel & Power Point
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence (active listening and diplomacy).

Remuneration:
The annual base salary for this role ranges from CHF 83K to 102K, based on experience.
