Are you a motivated engineering student with a passion for manufacturing technologies and the ambition to shape the factories of tomorrow? Join our team as a Working Student for the Production and Plant Planning and support us in planning and implementing our factory investment roadmap. You willl take the lead in developing plant layouts and directly support the investment project managers on machinery placement and installations. This hands-on role will immerse you in large-scale, challenging projects alongside a motivated and collaborative team, offering valuable insights and professional growth opportunities.
This position as working student, starting in October 2025 for a duration of >12 months, will be based at our global headquarter in Baden, Switzerland.

- Support the investment Project Managers in designing and updating the plant layout
- Develop and maintain the existing plant layouts to meet current needs
- Conduct feasibility studies concerning space and arrangement of investment projects
- Identify, recommend, and implement innovative solutions for layout planning
- Promote and lead process optimizations to support lean practices and continuous quality improvements
- Add value by bringing in your own new ideas
Your background:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software. Practical experience with AutoCAD is a plus
- Analytical and structured thinking
- Basic understanding of production processes and technologies
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, dynamic working environment
- Independent, self-organized and dedicated approach to work is a must
- Practical and theoretical experience with energy optimizations, lean management, or logistics in a factory is a plus
- Good communication skills in English and German
