The incumbent will lead a global multidisciplinary team to bridge the gap between scientific research and clinical application, leveraging data science to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes. This role is pivotal in translating scientific discoveries into actionable insights and therapeutic strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for high-level strategy, scientific expertise and leadership in the direction, growth and continued development of all aspects of Translational and Data Science including translational research, clinical bioanalytics , bioinformatics and biostatistics. Working closely with clinical development, the leader will champion the generation, delivery, endorsement and implementation of high quality, peer-reviewed bioassay and biomarker strategies/plans to provide timely, decision making, pre-clinical and scientific data to support pivotal pre-clinical Toxicology studies and optimise clinical development programs.
The incumbent will also ensure appropriate Translational Research expertise, resource and input to Research projects to ensure a seamless discovery, development and transition of Biomarkers, bioassays into Toxicology and Clinical Development studies.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements
A minimum of 15 years experience in translational medicine, bioinformatics, or related areas within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Proven track record of leading teams and driving successful research programs from bench to clinic.
Strong background in clinical development, biomarker discovery, and computational biology.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Deep understanding of bioinformatics tools, data analysis techniques, and translational research methodologies.
Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and work effectively with external collaborators
