Your role & work environment
The purpose of the local Product Manager function is to make our clients successful by offering them seamlessly integrated Transaction Services solutions. Products in scope are:
· Payments and Cash Management, Digital Channels
· Trade Finance Services
· Working Capital Solutions
· Bank Mendes Gans
The local Product Manager will liaise with the corresponding Global TS Product departments, within the Global TS organization. The local product manager will define and drive the local strategy and implementation to become a leading and innovative TS network bank in Europe.
The local product manager TS improves products, pricing, processes, documentation and tooling in such a way that internationally operating clients experience ING as One Bank across the entire ING network. The local Product Manager is responsible to keep the TS products ´safe and secure´ and has the local asset ownership for all Transaction Services IT assets in scope.
The local Product Manager Transaction Services reports functionally to the TS Head of Product Management Network, and hierarchically to the Local Head of Transaction Services.
Your key responsibilities are:
· You are co-business owner of the Transaction Services solutions. As such you are responsible for designing, developing & operating the solutions for our clients
· You will share a responsibility with the local TS Sales department to improve ING’s TS performance and identify opportunities to better serve and delight our customers in short and long term
· You will translate our strategy and changing customer behavior into business outcomes and ensure you stay on track with the focus on the right priorities
· You will proactively anticipate dependencies and collaboration across the entire organization and contribute to specific implementations in each business area
· You will take ownership on risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk while operating simple standardized business processes, in order to protect the organization from undue risks
· You will focus on cost efficiency in order to be able to compete in the local and international markets
· You will maintain contacts with stakeholders in Wholesale Banking, Global TS Products, Product Sales and Coverage organisations
· You will maintain contacts with external parties and stakeholders (suppliers, industry experts, consultants, regulators etc)
· You will play a crucial role in setting priorities for development within your country

Education and Experience
· University education (Bachelor or Master’s degree)
· Experience and/or affinity with the Transaction Services area especially in the payments & liquidity area at an international bank
· Knowledge of the Swiss international payments market is preferred
· 4-7 years proven track record in product and/or programme management
· Excellent skills in written English: near-native knowledge and strong verbal communication.
