WHAT DOES A TECHNICAL REGULATORY MANAGER DO?
Participates in the Industry Associations meetings and events with an active role of influencing and impacting to defend Bacardi position and its regarded reputation.
Co-responsible to maintain tools and guidance to monitor new regulation, assess compliance and design labels at global level.
Manage regulatory assessment of some projects and continuous improvement of the Technical Regulatory Network by identifying and analyzing gaps, performing corrective actions and issuing standardization documents.
Co-responsible for issuing global technical documentation necessary in the exportation process of our products. Responsible to maintain official documentation on BACO formula and product information.

RESPONSIBILITIES
WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Technical Regulatory
- COMPLIANCE
- Maintain & coordinate the update and the development of the Brand Content Management database compiling worldwide labelling regulatory requirements that will affect the Artwork development brief. Ensure consistency and clarity of data as part of the artwork development brief.
- Responsible for the regulatory assessment of some InnovApp projects. Proactively partner with R&D, Marketing, Packaging, TRN local experts and other groups to ensure the technical regulatory compliance of the products: provide guidance on regulatory requirements, review proposed labelling changes to determine regulatory impact, address regulatory issues.
- Review technical regulatory requirements and synthetize them in best practices and guidelines documents used to ensure compliance in the different regions.
- Conduct training programs to educate employees on technical regulatory requirements and good regulatory practices for people part of the regulatory network (supply chain mainly).
- MONITOR
- Define tools and database to monitor upcoming regulation. Highlight potential risk and escalade to the impacted business and OC.
- Ensure systematic assessment of new regulation, and escalade if a potential impact is identified.
- Published monthly update on new regulation.
- INFLUENCE
- Participates in the Industry Associations meetings with an active role of influencing. Participate on the definition topics covering new regulation impact, CSR aspect and ingredients authorization.
- Define and align Bacardi position with all business units and functions on specific regulation evolution.
- Official technical documents
- Responsible for supporting markets and product development with official global certificates on behalf of Bacardi, BACO and Tradall for regulatory technical compliance with local or international legal / regulations as required by regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and update secured storage of formula and product information as part of BACO responsibility in Geneva Safe. Add new brands, new information or new product range in the registered documentation (paper and digital format)

PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Minimum a Master degree in Science (chemistry or Food Science) or Legal/ paralegal qualification or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 10 years experience in the alcoholic/ beverage/food industry in the technical regulatory field, with solid track record. Strength in critical analysis- seeking to understand complex business needs and review them via continuous improvement process principles and incorporations of available systems technologies.
- Knowledge of Regulatory affairs (e.g. legislation, Int.l working groups, etc) an asset.
- Native level in writing/speaking in English language. Other languages such as Spanish and French are an advantage.
OTHER
- Knowledgeable in IT systems and database architecture to design and maintain regulations monitoring and artwork development.
