Background:
The Sub-Chapter Production Planning is part of the Instrument Operations Network (ION) in Rotkreuz, which
ensures the provision of important healthcare products for people around the world. As a team member, you will be
responsible for production and material requirements planning to ensure that our customers receive the
products they need on time. You will also ensure that material changes are smoothly integrated into
production while maintaining inventory targets and minimizing scrap.
The perfect candidate: As a Production Planner, you are responsible for production planning and
material requirements planning. Perfect candidates have completed vocational training in supply chain management,
at least 3 years of professional experience in this field, and strong interpersonal skills with internal and
external stakeholders.
Main tasks and areas of responsibility:
- Transferring requirements from the system and comparing quantities with Global Planning and Production for the next 12 months
- Creating and maintaining production plans so that market demand can be met
- Recording and managing primary planning requirements for devices in series production as well as for procurement-critical spare parts and accessories
- Responsible for the timely delivery of customer orders and thus the achievement of the specified delivery service level Phase-out planning for end-of-production and end-of-service products
- Determination of material requirements planning parameters such as safety stocks or order sizes
- Implementation and evaluation of single-stage and multi-stage material requirements planning
- Responsibility for achieving assigned inventory targets, including scrapping
- Evaluations regarding forecasts, sales/production plans, and inventory levels
- Planning for new and discontinued products and coordinating with production and suppliers in the event of product changes
- Defining required safety stocks at suppliers and desired delivery times from suppliers, in cooperation with strategic procurement
- Recording, maintaining, and continuously monitoring all relevant master data for materials planning
- Calculating and adhering to supply chain-relevant key figures
- Collaborating in cross-functional and cross-border project teams
Must-haves:
- Completed basic technical or commercial training, further training in purchasing or
supply chain management, or HF/FH degree or technical training with further training in supply chain
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or similar, ideally
with a focus on purchasing, production planning, and materials management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems, ideally SAP PP/SD/MM
- Fluent German and business fluent (at least B2) written and spoken English
