About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, Pastry Trainee is responsible for assisting their respective team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The Trainee is reporting to their direct supervisors or managers.
Starting Date: November 2025
As Pastry Trainee, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Supporting the pastry team in all daily pastry tasks for all F&B outlets
- Assisting in the production of the entire pastry mise en place
- Compliance with all guidelines and proper storage of all foodstuffs
- Compliance and control with the specified stock levels and ensuring proper storage
As Trainee, we expect from you:
- Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
- Good organisational skills with the ability to handle reservations
- Good understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mile
- Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit
- Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
- Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
