Operations Finance Manager EMEA
As the Operations Finance Manager – EMEA, you will be leading financial planning and analysis for our Formulation & Packaging operations across the region. You will oversee budgets, forecasts, actuals, product costing, and variance analysis, acting as the key finance partner to Integrated Supply Chain and Financial leadership. This role requires close collaboration with global stakeholders and corporate teams such as Controllership, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Controls. You will report directly to the Global Operations Finance Manager for Formulations and Packaging.
What you will do with us:
- Lead and manage a team, fostering strong partnerships with Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, EHS, and Finance functions.
- Develop the annual operating budget and lead the EMEA standard cost-setting process for plant operations.
- Prepare and analyse monthly/quarterly forecasts and manufacturing cost variances, using insights to support performance improvement.
- Monitor financial performance, explain variances, and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and drive efficiencies.
- Collaborate on inventory management, strategic cost decisions, and raw material price validation with relevant teams.
- Contribute to global operations reporting, support SOX/internal audits, and assist with monthly close and ad hoc finance activities.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives and participate in global Operations Finance projects.
Your qualification & attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA, Chartered Accountant, or CMA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FP&A, product costing, or operations finance within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the chemical industry.
- Proven people leadership experience with strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, standard costing (preferred), and operational cost management.
- Proficient in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across functions and levels.
- Experience in multinational environments, with an understanding of foreign currency impact, matrix structures, and change management.
