For our client, an independent management and technology consultancy, we are looking for an Operational Resilience Assessor (FINMA Circular 2023/1).

Tasks
  • Evaluate the current operational resilience framework and assign maturity ratings to key areas. Identify weaknesses and gaps, especially regarding regulatory compliance
  • Analyze alignment with FINMA Circular 2023/1 on operational risks and resilience, highlighting areas of non-compliance or partial compliance
  • Independently test and review samples of critical operational risk controls to assess design and effectiveness, including incident response and IT recovery tests
  • Develop actionable recommendations and a clear roadmap to improve operational resilience, prioritizing quick wins and longer-term initiatives aligned with regulatory deadlines
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to senior management, clearly communicating resilience maturity and benefits of proposed improvements
Requirements
  • Proven experience implementing FINMA Circular 2023/1 in a banking environment
  • Deep knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, including business continuity, IT disaster recovery, incident management, and risk controls
  • Background in operational risk management or internal audit, with expertise in evaluating internal controls and interpreting control tests
  • Experience in banking or financial services, ideally in private banking or wealth management
  • Experience conducting operational resilience or risk framework assessments
  • Certifications such as CRISC, CISM/CISSP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or CIA are advantageous but not mandatory
  • Fluent English (must), German (strongly preferred)
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to benchmark against industry standards and provide clear, prioritized advice
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in report writing and presenting to senior stakeholders
