Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Operations Analyst to join our Credit Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of mortgage loans through to closing. This role requires excellent organizational skills, in-depth knowledge of mortgage processing procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and process mortgage loan applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and borrowers to collect required documentation.
- Verify borrower information including income, assets, employment, and credit.
- Maintain loan processing pipeline and track progress to ensure on-time closings.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure loan files meet all investor and compliance guidelines.
- Identify and resolve processing issues or delays proactively.
- Input and update data in loan origination systems and other platforms as needed.
- Ensure compliance with FINMA and other relevant mortgage regulations.
- Provide regular status updates to borrowers and stakeholders.
- Support audit requests and post-closing reviews.
Eligibility Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of mortgage processing or related mortgage operations experience, here in Switzerland
- Good knowledge of Swiss mortgage products (fixed, SARON, etc) processing procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Experience in credit processing systems (e.g. Avaloq, Finnova).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g. FINMA)
- Notary designation is a plus.
Languages
- Fluent, German (spoken and written)
- English and/or French an advantage
