Mechanical precision assembler
Job Description: The mechanical precision assembler will be responsible for the assembly of high-precision mechanical systems, including linear motors, guides, and motion components. The role involves mechanical alignment, precision measurements, and mechanical calibration activities. Additionally, the assembler will handle the integration of conveyor systems and support the drafting of assembly-related documentation.
This role is based at our headquarters in Mendrisio.
Key Responsabilities:
· Mechanical Assembly: Perform high-precision mechanical assemblies including linear motion systems and custom subassemblies.
· Alignment and Calibration: Align linear motors and mechanical guides using appropriate measuring tools and techniques.
· Installation: Assemble conveyor systems and integrate them into the machine framework.
· Measurement: Use tools such as dial indicators, micrometers for precision setup.
· Documentation: Assist in drafting and updating assembly procedures and calibration reports.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to meet quality and performance standards.
· Support: Provide feedback on mechanical design and suggest improvements for assembly efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
· Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
· Proven experience in precision mechanical assembly.
· Strong skills in the use of mechanical measurement instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches).
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation.
· Experience with linear motion components (e.g., linear motors, ball screws, linear guides). Basic understanding of mechanical calibration and alignment principles.
· Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Basic English knowledge is a plus.
